Gold Tone OB-250AT: Orange Blossom Arch Top Banjo
Gold Tone OB-250AT: Orange Blossom Arch Top Banjo
Another great Orange Blossom pro-grade banjo, this one features a superb bell brass forty-hole arch-top (or raised-head) tone ring, like the ones in the G-word banjos made from the late 1920s into the 1930s (instead of the flat head ring). This tone ring produces a sharper, more incisive tone that's useful for cutting through the random noise being produced by the other members of your band. Seriously, though, if you love the old Stanley Brothers recordings and Dr. Ralph's signature tone, this is the banjo for you. All other features are as per the OB-250: a cast one-piece resonator flange circling a multi-ply maple rim with twin coordinator rods and an extra-deep curly maple multi-ply resonator for better low-end response. The curly maple neck has a bound ebony fretboard with hearts & flowers inlay. The bracket hooks even have metric threading to enable finer tension adjustment. The price includes a hard shell case.
